Fox Broadcasting has ordered six scripts for a US version of EastEnders. Good grief, haven't the Americans suffered enough? First it's four more years of Bozo in the White House, now this.
Or is this just the price to pay for The Office?

Will this be like the American version of Red Dwarf, which chose "hunky" actors to play purposely slobby characters?!
Wouldn't surprise me. With any luck, all the scenes which are miserable and/or depressing will be removed, making the length of the average episode somewhere around 0.05 seconds.
